FAQ

Q: What is the difference between Auto body shops & Auto Refresh, LLC?
A: Auto body shops deal with full collision repair, while Auto Refresh, LLC deals with mainly sections of the paint. We do not paint whole vehicles.

Q: How do you match the paint?
A: Auto Refresh, LLC applies a computer program, that provides color mixes according to color codes on the vehicle. We then weigh out the precise mix and eye out the paint. Some custom mixing might incur because not every mix matches perfectly.

Q: How do you paint without a paint booth?
A: Paint booths are only used for two things, to dry the paint faster and reduce dust. It does not make the paint stronger or better in any way compared to air drying. Shops must have paint booths because of high volume and emission requirements.  Paint booth’s do not prevent dust but only reduces dust, which leads to wet sanding and buff (removing excess dust & imperfection in paint). We also provide this service which then becomes the same result.

Q: How do you deal with dust and debris from painting outside?
A: This results in very slight imperfections in the paint layer and clear coat. These imperfections do not detract from the overall look of the paint work and are only visible upon close inspection. If necessary, it is simply removed by wet sanding and buff which totally gets all imperfections out! No one can control mother nature but we can work around it!

Q: How do you paint during the winter?
A: We have special paint mixes that allows the paint to dry extremely fast during cold weather.

Q: How do you paint in rain?
A: We do not work in the rain since we do work outside. If you have an appointment on a rainy day, it will be rescheduled. If any jobs are damaged by rain, it will be fixed!

Q: How long does it usually take?
A: It all depends on the size of the job but most are done in a couple of hours.

Q: What kind of equipment and supply are being used?
A: Auto Refresh, LLC only uses high quality tools and products such as, Sata Jet (#1 spraygun on market), Dewalt, and RM diamond paint. We also use industrial auto body materials, not the knock off stuff at the local store.

Q: How big of a repair can you do?
A: The biggest repair we usually get into would be Refinishing & installing bumpers. We also only get into dents the size of your hand. If it involves extreme molding, it needs to be taken to a full collision shop. We do not paint whole vehicles, only sections.

Q: How long does the paint take to dry?
A: It would take about 1/2 hour for the paint to be dry enough to drive away! It takes couple more hours to able to touch. The repair can be cleaned and washed the next day but do not wax the new paint job because it takes about 2 weeks to fully cure. Let the paint breath for two weeks then apply wax.
